EconoStat bench top matting for static control is a highly durable homogenous pure vinyl that is rendered antistatic by the use of chemical additives that absorb ambient humidity from your environment. Homogenous antistatic matting made in this fashion is inexpensive but dependant on humidity for conductivity and drains electrostatic potential very slowly. EconoStat's resistivity falls in the very high static dissipative range and may fluctuate slightly with humidity levels. While we don't recommend this material for use with our constant monitors or for use in sophisticated Electrostatic Protected Areas it can be a perfect choice for an economical low static generation material in packaging areas or when working with high voltage power supplies. EconoStat doesn't do well in critical esd audit scenarios. Should this be a necessity consider a 3 layer esd mat like our ElectraDyne 289 our 167 or 168AS. EconoStat features low static charge generation capabilities of <500 volts per STM4.2. and meets older JEDC EIA-625 table 2 of >1.0E05 and < 1.0E10 RTG.
