ElectraGuard Static Control Floor Paint
The typical system uses 3 coats of ElectraGuard (1 coat a day for 3 days) followed by 2 thin coats of ElectraThane and 1 thin top coat of ElectraGlaze (these sealers can be applied in the same day). If needed, an intermediate barrier coat of ElectraBond may be applied (using a mop) between the first and second coat of ElectraGuard to hide imperfections from concrete repair. The average coverage of ElectraGuard is 350 square feet per gallon per coat. The typical coverage of the sealers are 1,500 square feet per gallon per coat. The sealers (ElectraThane & ElectraGlaze) add the gloss. The top coat of ElectraGlaze may be stripped and re-applied if needed (it's a sacrificial coating). The paint is applied with a roller, the sealers are applied with a wax applicator or finish mop.
